HELP US TO HELP THEM 

VKB is managed by Okka Scherer, a long-time resident of Lantau Island who has dedicated her life to supporting animals in need. VKB is privately operated by Okka and is not a registered charity, but it does hold an exemption from the AFCD (Exemption no: IND00040).

Donations of any size help and every dollar received will be spent on helping VKB continue to help rehome, rehabilitate and rescue animals. 

It costs a lot to care for over 200 dogs! Here is a breakdown of how the donations can help given some of our costs:

$80 - license registration and rabies vaccination for one dog

$160 - heartworm test for one dog

$200 - one annual vaccination for one dog

$300 - 6 months of preventative heartworm meds for one dog

$1500 to $3000 - desexing surgery for one dog
$2000 - 3 months of food for one dog
